October 14, Belgrade, Serbia: When Nazi flag is protected by FIFA and the US passport

Ћирилица There was a football match between Serbia and Albania in Belgrade. The match was considered risky. But all was just peaceful, even though the Albanians have, with the help of NATO and USA, illegally stole Kosovo and Metohija, and cause troubles in other parts of Serbia as well. But the Serbs were tollerant. A general opinion was “Sport is to be played and enjoyed, so let the better one win.” During the match, the Albanians have launced a drone carrying a flag. The atmosphere exploded, and the fight started on the terrain. That’s how the mainstream media reports about the incident, and the world swallows it thinking: ” Oh,

GLOBAL JUSTICE OR GLOBAL DOMINATION

Ћирилица History is a teacher of life, says the old proverb. Hence, it should be regarded as a part of life and future, not only a part of the past.  We recall that the drive for redrawing the borders was one of the key objectives of aggressors in the First World War. The revision of history and results of the First and Second World Wars could prove to be but a front for the revision of borders The Great War began following the Austro-Hungarian ultimatum, one that everyone clearly knew that Serbia could not have possibly accepted. At the end of that same, 20th century, Serbia (the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia) was given a similar ultimatum by

BISHOP ATANASIJE: SERBS ARE PRONE TO FORGETTING THEIR OWN BEING

Ћирилица | Русский – Bishop of Bihać and Petrovac Atanasije said today on Mount Kozara that the Serbian people easily forget, reject, amputate and annul even a part of their own being, their life and their people. “Both the biology and theology have imprinted the drive to think before doing to all creatures. One can sometimes get confused watching the Serbian people, doubting that drive has been given to each people”, said Bishop Atanasije at the opening of the First Gathering of Associations of Descendants and Supporters of Serbian War Victims in the 20th century. He said that the Serbian people are open-handed and want to share everything with others, which is not a bad thing, as he said,

COMMEMORATION FOR SERBS EXECUTED A CENTURY AGO

Ћирилица A commemoration was held at the site Crna Stijena near the Foca Hospital on Tuesday to honour 19 Serbs from the Celebic area who were executed by the Austro-Hungarian occupying forces in 1914 today. On the eve of and at the beginning of the First World War, Austro-Hungarians killed around 200 Serbs in the Foca District, while many ended up in the camps in Arad and Doboj. Arrested and murdered were renowned residents of Foca, mostly the villagers from the Celebic area, at the border with the then Kingdom of Montenegro. Only four days after the killing at Crna Stijena, another 52 residents of Celebic were executed on the

Jadovno is a predecessor of Jasenovac

Ћирилица The first inmates of Jasenovac were the surviving prisoners of the complex of NDH death camps Gospić-Jadovno-Pag.  73 years ago, on 23 August, 1941, the Croatian People newspaper published the following: „..in the last couple of days, shacks at the Lonjsko Polje, which will house workers, soon to start with their work, have been completed.“ Amongst the first camp inmates of Jasenovac were prisoners from the Croatian island of Pag, which was a part of Jadovno complex of camps. Zlatko Vajler, a surviving camp inmate from Slana on the island of Pag, describes the road from Slana to Jasenovac camp: “Our camps were closed down in late August when

ANNIVERSARY OF BLOODY USTASHA FEAST AT VELEBIT AND PAG

Ћирилица  Seventy-seven years ago today, Ustashas committed mass executions of the remaining inmates in the camps Slana on the island of Pag and Jadovno on Mt Velebit.Head of the Association Jadovno 1941 Dusan Bastasic recalls that the at least 791 people were killed in Pag and 1,500 in Velebit. “Appalled by the monstrosity of the crimes and the number of killed inmates, Italian occupation forces took over from the NDH (Independent State of Croatia) the civil and military power and ordered the closing of death camps,” Bastasic recounts for Srna. Another reason for Italians’ concern was the massive uprising of Serbs in Lika against the Ustasha tyranny. “In an effort

INAPPROPRIATE FOR SERBIAN CHILDREN TO HOLIDAY IN SERBIAN KILLING GROUNDS

Ћирилица BELGRADE, August 14 /SRNA/ – The director of the Veritas Documentation Centre, Savo Strbac, told SRNA that it is inappropriate for children – athletes from Serbia – to holiday in the former Lora death camp in Split, where 1008 Serbs were tortured and 70 were killed in the most heinous ways from 1992 to 1998. Strbac called hypocritical the explanation of the organiser of the Youth Sports Games in Split, Zdravko Maric, that “the past belongs to the past,” that “one should turn to the future” and that it is bad that children will now, because of their parents’ “pointless” sensibilities, be transferred to the hotel in Zagreb. Milan Bastašić: CROATS BETWEEN JAZOVKA AND JADOVNO

Ћирилица Find the strength and responsibility to answer this question: WHY HAVE YOU DONE THAT TO US? The Croatian political leadership marked the European Day of Remembrance of the victims of all totalitarian and authoritarian regimes, in their Croatian way. It was Jazovka first and then Jadovno. Serbs were insulted and the diplomatic representatives and the international public deluded. With great explanations of how it has civilization and historical value (of which Europe reminded them), they said that after seventy years they came to the pit Jazovka on Žumberak into which the Partisans, upon their arrival in Zagreb in 1945, threw the wounded Croatian Home Guard soldiers and Ustashas, after

Yet another 22 April

Ћирилица Another 22 April has passed, the day when we were supposed to remember the breakout of the Jasenovac inmates. The Balkan Auschwitz, the largest systematically raised devourer of the Serbian and Jewish people, each year asks us a series of questions. Those questions, complicated and never fully answered, go deep into the foundations of our collective identity, our relation towards the past, but also the relation of parents and grandparents towards their offspring. Our public awareness deeply formalized and scandalised to the point of tabloid perception, “wastes” such dates once a year, as a formality usually followed by standard journalist and politician’s phrases on the repetition of the history, our commitments, the

Aleksandar Nećak: REMEMBERING IS NOT ENOUGH

Ћирилица  Remembering is not enough, research is necessary, education is imperative REMEMBERING There is individual, personal remembering, primarily by those who had survived the tortures, atrocities, and concentration camps. Regretfully, very soon, not a single concentration camp survivor will remain among us. When such time comes, what remains for us will be retold and transferred memories, which can not be reliable for history. Memories, which by their very nature are subjective, over time become increasingly modified and changed. There is the so-called public memory, or remembering practiced on designated international remembrance days, when states (through statements made by authorities), once a year remember the innocent victims and terrible atrocities. Exhibition “My Jadovno” in Norway

Српски The Serbian Diaspora must realize the magnitude of the genocide over the Serbian people in the Ustasha’s Independent State of Croatia (NDH), said tonight in Oslo the President of the Association “Jadovno 1941”, Dušan Bastašić.  “We must not forget the crimes in the Ustasha complex of death camps Gospić—Jadovno – Pag, the first liquidation centre in the NDH. We must raise awareness on it in all segments of the Serbian society, including the Diaspora. We hope to have more institutional support in this”, said Bastašić at the opening of the exhibition “My Jadovno” in the capital of Norway. After the exhibition was opened, Bastašić and Association “Jadovno 1941” Secretary Predrag Lozo held a lecture on the genocide over

Dr Bastašić on “Jadovno”

Ћирилица  In the Šaranova Pit on Velebit ended the life of the founder and the last President of the old Rotary Club, Spiridon Špiro Bocarić. The guest at the meeting of Banja Luka Rotary Club on Tuesday, 8 April, 2014, was Dr Dušan Bastašić, the President of the Association “Jadovno 1941”. In a very interesting speech, Dr Bastašić presented basic data on the association, its results so far in presenting the truth on the suffering of over 40,000 souls in the Jadovno tragedy. They were Serbs (95%) and Jews (around 5%), civilians, women, children, priests, who were cruelly murdered in just few months of 1941 by Ustashas of Pavelić’s NDH,
